Yu-Ching Lai, DDS, MS Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Dr. Lai received Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry where she was inducted in the Omicro Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society. She completed her orthodontic specialty training at University of Rochester, New York and earned her certificate in Orthodontics. A native Taiwanese, Dr. Lai practiced general dentistry in Taipei before pursuing her advanced orthodontic education in the United States. Dr. Lai was also sponsored by William H. Bowen International Scholarship for her Master degree in Dental Science at University of Rochester. She published two papers in academic journals during her study in the master program. Before joining Albany Bay Dental, Dr. Lai worked in multiple dental groups around the Bay Area to treat orthodontic patients, including children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Lai regularly attends continuing education to keep current with latest advances in orthodontic treatment and technology. Dr. Lai is also an Invisalign provider. Dr. Lai sincerely cares every patient’s specific orthodontic needs and caters individual’s treatment plan. Dr. Lai recognizes that orthodontic treatment is not only help build a beautiful smile but also enhance the well-being of individuals.
