I received my DDS degree in 1999 from the University of the Pacific (UOP), School of Dentistry, San Francisco. I have been practicing in the East Bay Area for more than 11 years. After my graduation, I also served as a part-time faculty member teaching at UOP for 2 years.
Hello Everyone! My name is Ying and I am the registered dental assistant (RDA) and office manager. I have been working as a RDA for 10 years and have had the pleasure to work with Dr. Chen for the past 4 years. I will be the one to assist Dr. Chen with your dental procedures and help you better understand your recommended treatment plan. I am very gentle and compassionate and will work with you to make you feel as comfortable as possible. As an office manager I am here to ensure that we have excellent team work and outstanding customer service.
Hello I want to start off by thanking you for taking the time to read a little about our office and staff. I am the Receptionist and Dental Assistant here at Albany Bay Dental. I have been working here since the office opened back in 2008. I will most likely be the one to greet you with a smile and welcome you to our office. When I am not in the front desk you can find me assisting Dr. Chen with dental procedures. Dentistry has always been my passion and I will always do my very best to create a positive dental experience for you during every visit.
I received a Masters of Science in Oral Biology in 1992 from Medical college of Georgia, and published several scientific articles in the field of fluoride metabolism and dental health. Before that, I obtained a dental degree from Nanjing
Medical University, China, in 1987, and practiced at the University Dental Hospital for 2 years. I am a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA) and the Berkeley California Dental Association. After all these years of rich experience in practice, teaching and research, I am proud to say that dentistry has come a long way for me and I am happy to be of service to our patients who are seeking quality dental treatment.
